Arkaik Dönem Miletos Kutsal Alanlarında Bulunmuş Sunu Nesneleri Üzerine Değerlendirmeler

Abstract

Miletos kentinin arkaik kutsal alanlarının mekânsal dağılımı ve bunun yanı sıra sunu objesi kontekstleri görece daha iyi bilinen Athena, Aphrodite ve Didyma Apollon kutsal alanlarının karşılaştırmalı incelemesi, bir kente ait pantheonu oluşturan farklı tanrı/tanrıçaların kent coğrafyasındaki konumlarının incelenmesini mümkün kılmaktadır. Bunun ötesinde sunu objeleri kentteki farklı sosyal tabakalaşma ile ilgili bilgiler de verebilmektedir ve Miletos’tan örnekler,unu objelerinin rastgele seçilmediğini ve sosyal ilişkilerin bu seçimlerde büyük rol oynadıklarını ortaya koymaktadır.

The comparative study of the spatial distribution of Archaic sanctuaries in Miletus and the contexts of gift objects in the relatively well-known sanctuaries of Athena, Aphrodite and Didyma Apollon would make it possible to understand the geographical position of sanctuaries dedicated to various deities of the city pantheon. Furthermore, scrutiny of gift objects gives information about the social stratification in the city. Examples from Miletus show us that the gifts were not chosen randomly, and social relations influenced the choice of gift objects to a significant deal.
