In this article, Cingöz Recai crime fiction series, published between 1924-1960 by Peyami Safa under the penname Server Bedi, are examined through Pierre Bourdieu's concept of capital and habitus along with Franco Moretti's approach to literary genre. In this study, it is benefited from Multiple Correspondence Analysis which Bourdieu used to study the education system, academic and literary field in France and thanks to it, how Cingöz and foreigners are positioned and what kind of relations there were between their positions and the ideology of the period are questioned. In addition to this, it is made a point of how the history exchanged a historical capital in the novelistic space through Walter Benjamin's concept of auratic object.en_US
